Waitlist & Referral Terms
We open one city at a time, so everyone you meet is close. Here is how the waitlist and invitations work.
1. One city at a time
Belavo opens city by city. San Francisco is open. If you choose a city that is not open yet, you can join its waitlist from the app or from belavo.app. Joining a waitlist is free and creates no membership, no subscription and no obligation to join later.
2. What we collect and how we use it
To join a waitlist we collect your email address and your chosen city, and, if you joined from the app, the neighborhoods you picked. We use this only to tell you when the city opens, to count how many people are waiting there, and to send occasional updates about Belavo in your city. We do not sell or share waitlist information. You can leave the waitlist at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to [email protected]. Waitlist data is kept until the city opens or you leave the list, whichever is first, then deleted within 30 days. The Privacy Policy applies.
3. Opening a city
We open a city when enough people are waiting to give every member real introductions. The count and progress shown in the app are indicative. We do not promise that any city will open by any date, or at all. When a city opens, waitlisted people are invited by email in the order they joined, and may be offered the founding price described in the Billing Terms while it is available.
4. Inviting friends
You may share your invitation link with people you know. By sharing it you confirm that the person is at least 18 and has agreed to receive your message. Send invitations yourself, personally, to people you know; do not post invitation links on advertising networks, bulk-message strangers, buy clicks, or use automated tools. Belavo does not send messages to your contacts and never reads your contact list.
Invitations have no cash value and no guaranteed reward. If we ever offer a referral reward, its terms will be stated on the invitation screen at the time, will apply only while displayed, and may be withdrawn if we detect misuse. Rewards, if any, are credits toward Belavo membership, are not transferable or redeemable for cash, and are forfeited when an account is erased.
5. Misuse
We may cancel invitations and withdraw rewards, remove waitlist entries, or suspend accounts for fake sign-ups, self-referrals, bulk or unsolicited messaging, or any conduct that breaks the Community Guidelines or applicable law, including anti-spam laws.
6. Email and text messages
Waitlist and invitation emails are sent by Dopin LLC d/b/a Belavo and comply with the CAN-SPAM Act: each includes a working unsubscribe link and our postal address. We do not send waitlist text messages. If we add text messages in future, we will ask for your separate consent first and you will be able to stop them by replying STOP.
7. Changes
We may change these terms with notice on this page. Changes do not reduce the privacy protections for information already collected.
