Community Guidelines

Belavo is a small room full of real people. These rules keep it that way. Breaking them can mean a warning, a suspension, or a permanent ban without refund.

Effective October 31, 2026Last updated October 31, 2026Dopin LLC d/b/a Belavo

Three things we ask of everyone

  1. Lead with curiosity. Ask about what they love first.
  2. Reply or pass, never ghost. Passing is private. They are never told.
  3. Meet in public first. A café, a walk, a gallery. Tell a friend where you'll be.

These Community Guidelines are part of the Terms of Service. They apply to everything you do on Belavo, and to your conduct off Belavo when it involves another member.

Be yourself, and only yourself

Be kind in notes, chats and groups

Keep money out of it

Respect privacy and safety

Reporting

Report anyone from their profile, a note, a chat, a group or a gift. Choose the reason that fits: rude, sexual or harassing messages; fake profile or stolen photos; evidence that isn't really theirs; scam or asking for money; made me feel unsafe in person; may be under 18; unwanted gifts; or something else. Reports are anonymous; the person is never told who reported them. You can block without reporting, and the person is never told you blocked them either.

Consequences

A real person on our team reviews every report. Depending on severity and history, we may:

Violence, sexual misconduct, exploitation of minors, scams and stalking result in a permanent ban on the first confirmed report. We also act on behavior that happens off Belavo when it involves another member. We may not share the outcome or the reason with you when doing so could affect someone's safety or privacy. If you think a decision about your own account was wrong, email [email protected] within 30 days and a different reviewer will look at it.

In immediate danger? Call 911. Then report the member in the app when you can.
