Billing Terms

One plan, paid through Apple, cancel any time. Here is exactly how the money works.

1. One plan

Belavo membership is a monthly auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase on your Apple Account. There is no other way to pay, no other tier, and nothing else to buy except a gift for another member. Belavo never asks for card numbers and never bills you outside the App Store.

2. Free trial

New members receive a 7-day free trial with full access. The trial is offered once per person and once per Apple Account. On day 7, your subscription begins and Apple charges the payment method on your Apple Account at the price shown when you started the trial. To avoid the charge, cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Belavo reminds you on day 5.

3. Prices

Prices are in US dollars. The standard membership price is $39.99 per month. Founding members pay $19.99 per month. Where Apple collects sales tax, it is added at checkout according to your billing address. The price you will be charged is always shown on the membership screen before you confirm with Apple.

4. Founding price lock

A founding member is a member who starts a membership while the founding offer is displayed on the membership screen. The founding price of $19.99 per month is yours for as long as you stay a member. "Stay" means:

• your Apple subscription to Belavo is active and has not lapsed; or
• your subscription ended (you cancelled, or a payment failed and was not resolved) and you resubscribe within 30 days of the day it ended.

If more than 30 days pass without an active subscription, the founding price is no longer available to you and the standard price applies when you return. Pausing your account does not affect the lock, because billing continues while paused.

We may end the founding offer for new members at any time. Ending the offer does not affect members who already hold the founding price. We will not raise the founding price for a founding member; if Apple ever requires a price-change consent flow, we will ask for your consent before any change.

5. Renewal and cancellation

Your subscription renews automatically each month at the price shown, until you cancel. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may cancel at any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions; your membership stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charges are made. Pausing your account in Belavo does not cancel or pause billing. Deleting your Belavo account does not cancel billing either; cancel with Apple first.

6. Refunds

All refunds for in-app purchases are decided and issued by Apple under the App Store terms. Belavo cannot see your payment details and cannot issue refunds. To request one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. Removal from Belavo for violating the Terms of Service or Community Guidelines does not entitle you to a refund. California residents have an additional three-business-day cancellation right described on the California Notices page.

7. Restore purchase

If you reinstall Belavo or switch to a new iPhone, tap "Restore purchase" on the membership screen to reactivate an existing subscription on the same Apple Account.

8. No paid boosts, no pay-to-be-seen

Belavo sells nothing that changes who sees you or who you see. There are no boosts, super likes, paid filters, read receipts for sale, or paid visibility. Who you are introduced to depends only on your passions, places, preferences and activity, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Failed payments

If Apple cannot charge your payment method, Apple may retry for a grace period during which your membership continues. If payment is not resolved, your subscription ends and your access to introductions, notes and chats stops until you resubscribe. The 30-day founding window in Section 4 starts on the day the subscription ends.

10. Changes

If we change the standard price or these Billing Terms, we will notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect and, where Apple requires it, ask for your consent. If you do not consent to a price increase, your subscription ends at the end of the current period.

11. Apple is responsible for the transaction

Your purchase is a transaction with Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple is responsible for processing payment, issuing receipts and handling refunds. Belavo receives a transaction identifier and subscription status from Apple and nothing else about your payment.
